I’m guessing I’m not the only one out there who bought bananas and couldn’t eat all they bought before they started to turn black. It’s one reason why I rarely buy bananas. I bought some a few weeks ago, and before I even ate one, they started turning black. I hate throwing food, so I left it on the counter and got blacker. I love banana bread as much as the next person. I haven’t been in a sweet breakfast mood. However, my almost nonexistent sweet tooth has been yelling at me to buy something lovely for that late-night craving. That is where banana jam comes in. It’s banana foster if it was in spread form. I take a piece of croissant bread, toast it with butter, and spread the banana jam on top. If I want to get really fancy, I torch it. The sugar that is added and the natural sugar will help caramelize it. Making takes under an hour, so you don’t need much time. You probably already have most of the ingredients at home, too.
